The Opportunity
Do you believe strong communities create strong futures for children? Are you passionate about removing barriers, building partnerships and ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families can access the support they need? We are seeking a proactive and community-minded Community Linker to join our Connected Beginnings team and help create lasting change for children and families across the Wagga Wagga community.
In this rewarding role, you will work closely with families, early childhood education providers, health services and community organisations to identify and address the barriers preventing children from accessing early learning opportunities. By developing trusted relationships and strengthening referral pathways, you will help ensure families are connected to the right services at the right time, supporting children to be healthy, safe, developmentally on track and ready to succeed when they start school.
As the Community Linker, you will build strong partnerships with local organisations, coordinate community engagement activities and events, identify community training needs, and support the development of learning and educational pathways for families. Working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, you will help deliver culturally safe, community-led initiatives that reflect local priorities, build family capacity and strengthen the support network available to Aboriginal children and their families.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by contributing to the Closing the Gap priorities and improving early childhood development and educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. If you are passionate about community engagement, collaboration and creating opportunities that empower children and families to thrive, we would love to hear from you.
