Connected Beginnings

The opportunity

Do you have a passion for supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families to thrive? Are you committed to strengthening communities through connection, culture and collaboration? We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Family Linker to join our Connected Beginnings team and help children get the best possible start in life.

As a Family Linker, you will work alongside families, schools, early childhood providers, health services and community organisations to strengthen the connections that support children to be healthy, safe, developmentally on track and ready to start school. You will coordinate and facilitate transition-to-school programs, encourage early engagement with health and education services, and help families navigate the supports available to them through strong, trusted relationships.

Working in partnership with the local Aboriginal community, you will ensure programs reflect community priorities, culture and strengths while building pathways that place the needs of children and families at the centre of service delivery. You will also coordinate community events, support parent-child health and education initiatives, and collaborate with local organisations to improve referral pathways and create seamless access to services.

This is an opportunity to make a genuine and lasting difference by contributing to the Closing the Gap priorities and improving early childhood development and educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. If you are passionate about empowering families, building strong community partnerships and creating positive change for future generations, we would love to hear from you.
